Default Van Staal 100 bailess and brand new Van Staal 200 bailed

I really don't have a use for the VS100 since I won't be getting a kayak anymore and regret spending my tax money on the VS200 bailed. They are both black. The VS100 is American made from 1992 and in wonderful shape. 9/10 in my opinion which is amazing for being 24 years old. She was not fished the way a VS should be. She is spooled with brand new 30# Saltiga braid. There are a couple of tiny marks on the paint and that's it, other then that it fishes perfectly. I purchased the VS200 a few weeks ago and regret spending the money- my reels are rarely hit by saltwater if at all. It comes with the box and VS bag, never been used or spooled.

I'm looking to get 425 for the VS100 and 575 for the VS200 is which is what I paid for the 200. 575 is very firm for the VS200. Pics are below. If you want to buy both I'll do 925 for the combo.

Bump for a great reel. That American made 100 is super clean and a true work horse. Internal counter weigh reels dot come up for sale to often.
Good luck with our sale but if I were you I'd keep it.

Thank you Dave. I believe I'm going to end up keeping one and selling the other. The 100 is indeed very clean- I would love to compare it to comparable ones made from that area side by side.

I have a USA made from late 90s. It has the external rotor weight and star nut handel. Mine is a lefty (right hand retrieve) in gold which I have only see two others of em.
Aside from the traverse gear that's about all that wears out on the original ones.
I'd say keep the old one. A 100 is a bit small but unless you are swimming eels in MTK it will handel most fish in our area.
