Penn Peerless 9.....
Thoughts?
Was given 4 by a non-fishing buddy of mine. Have never been a Penn guy but intrigued by these reels. 2 in ok shape 2 beat up. Threw one on a scale and came in at 12.9 oz. Gonna clean em up and see what's what. Tips on servicing and replacing stuff much appreciated.

Nice little fluke reels. I know a guy that loves fishing one of those. Not sure if you going to like them since your not a penn guy but give it a try.

They are nice little fluke reels. If you've serviced other Penn's before then they are very similar. I know a private boat guy that fishes 3-4 times a week and that's all he uses on the boat. And parts are pretty readily available.

The chrome shines up quick with a quick wash down with a brillo pad.
Clean em and grease em up. These reels don't die as long as you give em a good greasing every year.
