Miss Belmar - Holiday weekend wrap up

Thursday morning, we fished north of our inlet picking away at stripers. As the day went on fishing continued to get better. We had some keeper stripers, lots of throwbacks and some had their slot fish, along with some blues mixed in. Some had their limits, some had one and some had none as all they caught were shorts. Overall, it was a great day of fishing for the half day trip on Thanksgiving Day.

With the great weather we had, along with the excellent striper fishing we’ve been having, Friday was a very busy day. We picked with shots keeper stripers, lots of shorts and quite a few slot fish along with the blues. There were not enough keeper fish for the busy day we had, but overall it was a great day.

Saturday, we found the stripers and the action early north of our inlet. We read fish good at times, however, it was a slower day than we’ve been having and the fish did not want to cooperate.

Sunday, we fished south of our inlet. We read fish very well at times, along with fish on top with birds working on them. We picked at a few fish and had a couple shots. It was a decent day overall with keeper stripers and some slot fish.

Monday, Tuesday and today we did not not sail due to the weather.
