Default The Old man can still fish!!!!!

Last moment decision, 11:00pm last night I decide to go for it! Based on the forecast I was hoping to be on and off the water early, with out getting wet and maybe catching a couple of fish. Hit the water at 7:00am motored to the area and started to set out the rods. Fished the usual 4 rod set up and bait. Before I even got the 2nd planer board out it was fish on! Today was truly one of those days that if you are lucky that you experience only a couple times in your life! I had pretty much none stop action till I finally called it quits! My catch for the day was 24.......yes, THAT IS CORRECT Hybrids and 1 Channel cat for a total of 25 fish landed and released, This doesn't include several other fish I missed or broke off at the boat. After a while I was flippin them in the boat like Bluefish!!!
I had four doubles and a triple that I landed!!! Insane Bite today!!! Only two other boats and a canoe near me as I put on quite a clinic for them to enjoy!!!!
The guy in the canoe finally said to me "What's that like twenty???" as he paddled away in disgust... I tried to give him some advice which I hope he uses in the future.
Busted rods bruised muscles and a aching back I finally packed it in at 1:00pm
Epic barely describes what I experinced today and I just wanted to thank all of those up there who blessed me with today!!!!
Here's a little porn for you to enjoy I only snapped the first and the biggest in addition to 2 doubles landed with the foot as a size comparison of one pair!!!
Oh, By the way Yea, I was TROLLING!!!!!!!

Sorry for the double pic although it is kinda rare to see me smile so your choice smile or not same fish!!!! BHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
It was just like I said ....One of those days that anyone could have!
Right Place Right Time!
I really was hoping to just to put a few in the boat since I haven't been on the water in almost a month and the last time was a kinda slow.
I had a feeling based on the forecast that they would be hungry and they were!
Time on the water and knowledge of your lake and species will increase your chances but you still have to have the Fish Gods shining down on you to have those days and I am so glad they did for me!!!!!

Stay tuned because I will be posting the info for the upcoming 3rd annual Hybrid Meet & Greet in the next day or so!!!!!

Sick fishing poppa bear. Epic numbers with quality mixed in. We fish a countless number of trips for one day like that... kudos dude. You deserved it!

I gotta give the old lady a super early reservation for the meet and greet. Always a good time, even with 2 ft chop coming over the bow! Lol...

That's the way to show them who's boss! By the way, I'll be tying my kayak off the back of your boat next time so I can steal your numbers. Lol. 😉

.

I went out Sunday in an attempt to duplicate your success, but post-frontal conditions are a different world than pre-frontal.

I still manged to catch a mixed bag including a bunch of under-sized hybrids.
