Miss Belmar - Holiday weekend wrap up

Due to the weather, both trips on Saturday were cancelled.

Sunday morning, we fished north of our inlet. We picked fish on each drift and some drifts were better than others. There were good readings at times and the blues ranged anywhere from 4-10 lbs. New fish have moved in so fishing should continue to get better.

Sunday afternoon, fishing was very slow due to a big heave. We ended up with a few shorts and some sea bass that were all released.

Monday morning, we headed north where we were the previous day and fishing was no good. We caught a few small blues on the edge of the mud hole.

This morning, we fished out east. We caught tons of mackerel, a couple of blues and false albacore. It turned out to be a really good day of fishing for mackerel. I will post more pictures as soon as I get them.

SCHEDULE CHANGE: the Miss Belmar Princess is no longer sailing for Saturday night blues. We will resume our night trips when the fish show up at night. We are still sailing daily for stripers and blues from 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and fluke and sea bass from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
