Finally....a good pike day !

WOW, it's been a tough start to the pike season for me. I finally had a good morning today with 6 pike landed and a few great hits that I missed. Nothing huge, but most were over 30 inches and not too fat. I have been picking away with at least one pike per trip, but I am hoping that things start to pick up with the size and catching. All on a spinner bait casting between weed beds in 5-6 feet of water.

Tough work week ahead, but for the first time this year I can say that I can't wait to get out again !

Awesome fish, I had one on yesterday that threw the hook on a jump that was an absolute monster. It much be so much easier getting to the deeper water in a kayak, we need rain!

I got skunked there first time in a while Thursday, missed a few short strikes, they were acting weird.

Nice job danny.....i am hoping to get out this week with my kayak. The slightly cooler temperatures may be a help with the pike.
