Default Fishing Barnegat Bay

Coming down to fish out of Tom's River. Just looking for advice for opportunities in this area, especially because we will have several kids on board. Figured to head down to Barnegat Bay and maybe out to the Sea Girt Reef? Never fished this area before as we usually fish Raritan Bay. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

You can drift for fluke around these markers as well.

If you go out of Barnegat Inlet the Sea Girt Reef is a hike, especially if you have kids. Not sure what size your boat is but you can crush the crabs in Oyster Creek, just be careful of low water. Also if you haven't fished down there there is a break wall on your left side going out, so continue out past the bouy; and navigate from there. If you have any other questions let me know, I have fished and crabbed the bays and ocean my whole life. I might take my girl crabbing one day this weekend in the creek, you cant miss us if were there. Just listen for the sound of The Jerry Garcia playing.

Thanks guys for the responses. We have a 28 Grady Release, and it is our first trip on this boat. This trip is for the kids and to get to know this boat.
