Reel Class Monday 7/6 Slow Flukin
Sorry for the late report!
Ran an open boat trip today with 5 fares. Elected to fish semi-"locally." We also delayed our start to just after 7 because of an EXTREMELY low tide - we had 20" of water in our slip at 6:30!
First drop was NG, second drop a few miles further north was decent the first few drifts as we were picking keepers and shorts with some consistency. This basically petered out after a half dozen passes as the strong current from the ESE came on.
Made many other drops in different areas working our way south, then back north, and only picked a few more keepers and shorts as well as some jumbo seabass and ling.
Very tough day. Only had 10 keeper fluke (Joe cut them - I had to run) and a few seabass and ling. Biggest fluke was just under 6# taken by Bill.
