Manasquan River Blues and PB Fluke
Switched it up and hit the salt today and I'm glad I did.
Fished the Manasquan River with my neighbor in my small 15 foot boat. First time fishing there with my boat, only passed by it on party boats before. Weird being the smallest boat out but the fish didn't care!! Totals: 15 blues (kept 5) biggest going 21 inches, ~4-5lbs. 2 fluke: one short, one my PB: 25.5 in, 7.5 lbs! We used small bucktails on light rods and it was a blast. Bluefishing was on fire but fluking was slow. Saw few boats pick up shorts but not many keepers. Great fishing, better eating.
