Smile Mr Walleye

Went out Sunday morning about 7 am launched into the Huron river to try for some cats!! 3 hours notta, so back to the ramp loaded the boat up headed 6 miles east to launch again at cranberry creek to try the big lake for some walleye. fishing out of my 14ft starcraft with 6hp vs my 21 lund with 140 is a big change. We headed out about 1 mile, no gps or fishfinder on my 14footer. Set lines out on the drift and bamm! my partner get slamed fights what I thought to be a monster sheephead(trash fish) nope a 29 inch 10lb monster walleye. Net was to small so he bounced out a few times then I just kinda willed him into the boat with the net!!! Fish had shoulders!!! So thinking that was the start of something good coninue and repeat drift and notta!! That was the only fish for the day. We made lemonade out of lemon and I appreciate all the comforts of a larger boat more then ever. I have to say was nice geting out with just a boat, a pole and god leading the way!

29 inches is a beast wally dude. Nicely done indeed.

And no worries on that pic...If Wilson gets a hold of it it'll look like the thing was posing for a playboy shoot!
