Trout Stocking

Just saw this on the F&G web page.

"Surplus trout are being stocked along with planned allocations as production at the Pequest Trout Hatchery exceeds projections. "

Yes sir, very true. They've been heavily loading the trucks for the past 2 weeks in order to get all the fish out of the hatchery and will be doing so again this week for the final spring stocking. Not only are they putting out a lot of extra fish, a good percentage of the fish are at or above 11".

All of this bodes well for both size and numbers for this fall as well as next spring.

My buddy who works over there said 2 trucks w/ 1000+ went out yesterday into the SBR. He was pretty pumped up, quite the turnaround for those guys in the past year.
