papa's angels 5/8 report
we ran the open boat trip this morning on board were anglers brian,bill,mike and paul we headed out and dropped anchor and it didn't take bill very long before he had the first keeper bass a 33 inch beauty, there was nice action very early in the trip with quite a few bass mostly short fish which were landed then released, as the day went on the blues came in big time and the bass bite was lost later in the trip another keeper bass was taken by brian. brian also hooked into and landed a black drum which was 48 inches long and had a girth of 32 inches around and was just over 60 lbs, the anglers fought the blues using metals for about an hour straight, this was a great weather day with a fine bunch of anglers.
