Thumbs up Good Day Trolling the bay

Got out at first light and ran to where we had fish on Wednesday and marked some fish but not takers. Made our way to some deeper water and started reading some real nice marks and had oor first fish right away on bunker color stretch.

Continued trolling and reading nice fish all morning and caught some nice fish to 20 lbs on 9 er rigs.

Ended day w 7 nice keeper bass bunch of shorts and two blues.

Real nice day on the water w my two brothers and Uncle👍🏻

Well if if the ocean fishery is anything close to what is it's been the past few springs, you are in for a treat.... Loads of bunker and huge Stripers. You might have to run a bit but it's worth the effort .

Later this month into June is when it usually happens on the ocean side.

Just be careful to say inside the federal 3 mile line if you are fishing for Stripers. Most chart plotters have the line marked on the charts.

Thanks Gerry, I have made a couple trips the last few springs and have had some great days watching the bass blow up on the bunker, can't wait to try and get them on surface poppers which is awesome on light tackle.

Another reason why I moved the boat north, keeping it in SRI looking forward to livelining and fluke opener👍🏻
