Default MonCo Bass

I went out late this afternoon, hoping the sunlight got a few fish active. Fist stop was a farm pond I had not fished in a few years. The bass were active but all stunted 9" ridiculously fat. I guess the workers were not keeping fish anymore so it got overpopulated.

Next I went to a park pond were Lawd fishes. I picked away catching a 15" pickerel and 5 14" cookie cutter largemouth. Fish were cruising up shallow and I was picking them off with a 4" senko and a 1/12 oz phoebe. Bass were still fighting lethargically with no jumping. All in all a productive day.

Getting those lines tight is all that matters. Great weekend to be out and about!

I only use 4lb test and a microlight outfit so 14" bass are just fine. I wish we would get some sunny and 70 degree weather so I can get a decent topwater bite going.
