Central Jersey BASSACRE!!!!!

Jigman and Myself had the big pond all to ourselves again. Had a feeling today was going to be a busy day. My favorite ice fishing conditions, overcast and snowing!!! Once again we had more flags than we could keep up with. I think we caught at least thirty fish again today. This place is insane, NON STOP action all day!!! Once again all the largemouths were between 14-16 inches and a bunch of foot long fat yellow perch and a few pickerel to boot!!!! No porn, sorry just can't bring myself to taking pics of those size fish. One of the highlights was Jeremy lost a huge crappie at the hole on his new jiggin stick and my header on the ice five minutes after Jeremy left. Bruised my elbow and tweaked my back pretty good!!!! We were talking through out the day and estimated that we have caught at least 80 fish there in the last few outings Yet still can't find Miss Piggy, the main reason I keep going back because if I do it will put me in first place in the contest for sure!!! We also had a visit from NJ's finest! CO Cory, He was cool as we talked for a few and then he was gone. All in all another fine day but still searching for a Hog to put me on the board!!!!!!

It's nice out there when the only other person in sight is the person you're fishing with! It's even better when you hardly talk all day bc you're both too busy chasing flag after flag! As Dale stated, we caught a stupid number of fish. The bass were not the ones we want, but they were chunky and rippin' spools. Some of the perch were beasts. I have a couple in my cooler that I measured and they taped out just over 13"... Crazy how many big ones are in there. Hoping we get a 15+" this yr... And I def need to sharpen my jig skills. I dunno if it was a combo of too stout of a rod and too light of a spoon, but the crappie I dropped would've easily measured up, if not exceeded, the one I posted in the contest. The fish darted across the hole at the end of the fight and the treble caught the ice popping the spoon free from its mouth...

Sounds like awesome insanity to me. Stuck inside today, now I have to go fish in God knows what tomorrow haha! Ugh, I hope it pays off. Way to smack em up.
