Default Dates for the hybrid M+G ??

Big lake is already thinning out, and fish are starting on the fall pattern early this year. I want to have the M+G while there is still herring avail so more guys catch em up, not everyone has the jigging down, esp in deeper water. The trap nets stay in til oct 31st, but its slim by first week of Nov. Im thinking either Oct. 25th saturday, or Oct. 26th a Sunday. The following weekend is Nov. 1st a saturday, and Nov 2nd a sunday. What day do u guys prefer?

I dont wanna have it any later due to bait availability, even tho later is actually better for jigging, but last year mid oct it was a hot bait bite and jigs did very little. We did well last year but this year will be better w the cooler temps already and the pattern starting

please reply w a preffered date ONLY IF YOU ARE 100% coming out

official thread coming soon when we pic a day

also thought of doing a walleye M+G on greenwood in Nov. prob a week or two after the hybrid meeting. lemme kno what u guys think of that as well

Will the water level be ok? If so I'm in either day.

November 2nd works for me for sure.

Weekend of the 25/26 would be a maybe...trying to head out to Pittsburgh for a Steelers game...if that falls through I would be able to do either of those days.

Looking forward to it.

Thanks for doing this again Jim, ya did a great job last year and the tips and tricks (techniques) you post are great. Think maybe there should be more discussion of techniques or tips and tricks on the board. As for the date I like the earlier dates myself, give us all a chance to take a second swing at it or an alternate date if we have bad weather. But whatever is fine with me, I'll make time.

Walleye at GL sounds interesting.

water level will be fine, its up now and will be til dec 15th when the 1.5 drawdown begins. ANY SIZE boat will be fine, from jon boats to yachts, theres no problem launching or fishing. Just like last year I will scout the lake the day before and make a map of where the bait+fish are holding, and make copies and pass them out at the ramp. We will meet early morning at sunrise at Lee's and get the boats in the water and BS and all that good stuff. The market on the lake will still be open and easy to get to (by brady bridge main lake side) so we can meet for a lunch break of if anyone needs fuel. Im sure FE and some of the boyz are gonna setup a pool for big fish so it will be a good time for sure. Like last year I will make a post explaining the techniques and rigs I use and the jigs etc. so newbies dont be afraid to come out, fall is the season for the pigs to come over the rails, good chance for eyeballs and musky too
