Bass: Shallow? or Deep? I have been catching LM in shallow early in the morning and deep in the afternoon lately. Are you guys having similar experience?

Re: Bass: Shallow? or Deep? Water has cooled way down from a few weeks ago. Seventy on top and only 66 at 17-18 feet. I normally fish deeper for bass, although that's changing with the weather. Plan is to go back on the troll with plugs and metal that runs 5-10 and cover water. Using the side finder to locate fish and avoid areas where they are not.

Re: Bass: Shallow? or Deep? Fished LH on sat am, caught 8 bass around docks in 3-5' of water. My son caught 5 bass on a spro frog on the weed beds. Most guys on the lake seemed to be targeting the deeper weed beds. I was surprised to pull out a nice 3lb smallie from under a dock.

Re: Bass: Shallow? or Deep? Ive seen the biggest concentration of fish in general on the deep weed edge, they are already starting a fall pattern in LH. There are still plenty of fish shallow, but the bait is deeper and so are the panfish so the game fish follow the food.

Re: Bass: Shallow? or Deep? All I'm hoping for is some cooler weather to take most of the idiots of LH so I can take my boat out use binskies and see what I can catch!
