Default Cape Cod part deux

Took my daughter to Cape Cod to do a limited load all day trip to Nantucket on Monday with a family friend

Boat once again left at 7 and didn't get back until after 6. Beautiful day on water, no heat needed this time

Everybody on the boat had their limits, the last few drifts were the most productive so staying late made our day

Pool winner over 11, maybe 10, 8 - 10 pounders

Unconfirmed rumor of a 19.6 pound fluke being caught and weighed in from a private boat from the same area a few days earlier I have not searched for a report to see

My best was about 5, my daughters about 4 1/2. our friend around 3, but he keep the dog fish away from us. (side note, both smooth and spiny)

Once again, I can't say enough nice things about the mate Matt. He made our trip great.

We also did their 1/2 day porgy trip yesterday before driving home. Boat was railed, many very young kids. The mates really had a fun day of flying porgies and birds nests

45 minute ride out, 45 minute in left 2 1/2 hours of fishing. Boat made one stop. We had non-stop action. Either pull up a fish or reel in to rebait. We managed to fill 2 five gallon pails. We kept some for ourselves and supplemented the catch of those not doing as well. Great fun

Came home from the trip with over 20 pounds of fillets, had pizza for dinner

That was me next to you! Your report says it all, but I'd just want to add that the other mates did a fine job also. I'd like to get in another trip this year, but summer's winding down & so is their season. Will be back next year.

Glad you had a good trip the next day. I was thinking of going, but hit another "Big" fluke boat and and did just about as well as Monday.

Nice meeting you, your daughter & friend. Jim
