Paramount Opening Day Sea Bass
100' Paramount Report 5/19/14 Sea Bass Opening Day Sea Bass season opened yesterday to boats filled with people trying to get out and fish for Sea Bass for the first time in over 4 months! Fishing was just OK overall with a mix of Sea Bass and Ling (mostly Ling, some Sea Bass) but not what we wanted for opening day. Anglers had from 0 to 5 Sea Bass and 2 to 10 Ling each. Herb Dinger from Union Beach, NJ had 4 keeper Sea Bass and a couple Ling, Chris Lyle from Plainfield, NJ had a couple keeper Sea Bass and a keeper Cod, Indrek Sahk from East Brunswick, NJ had 5 Ling and won the pool with a nice 5+lb. Sea Bass, Kim Irving from Yardley, PA had 9 Ling and 3 Sea Bass, Bill Long from Willingboro had 2 Sea Bass and 14 Ling, John Dextouzos from Hamilton, NJ had 18 Ling and a keeper Sea Bass and Victor Cifre from Lebanon, PA was high hook with 20 Ling and 2 keeper Sea Bass. With each passing day we should expect to see the water temperatures continue to rise and the Sea Bass move in and spread out on the inshore wrecks. Both the Ling and Sea Bass were caught on the same spots so the Sea Bass have definitely started to move inshore to shallower waters and started pushing the Ling out. We will be targeting Sea Bass every day from now through June 30th while the bag limit stays at 15 fish per person. Of course, we never mind if a Ling bites the hook too! Paramount Sailing Schedule: Monday, Wednesday & Friday 10 1/2 Hour Sea Bass Marathons 6:30am till 5:00pm every Monday, Wednesday & Friday primarily targeting Sea Bass (and Ling are allowed too!) Daily Wreck Trips 6:30am till 3:30pm every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday & Sunday primarily targeting Sea Bass, but Ling are always welcome! www.wreckmasters.com • 732-528-2117 |
