![]() These bars are super lightweight.... with the ability to troll them with a fluke rod if desired.
The bar is not snapping.... the center block allows for line through rigging... they troll nice! Perfect for inshore mahi, tuna, etc.... Only downside is the possible big fish that may grab it on a light rod. ( but thats where the JCT Rod comes in handy) lol.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() I did ask.... these bars are much different than the Archer Bars. They are strong, yet can be bent into an "O" shape too. Plenty fo power to pull back some bigger lures, but still light enough to troll with a light rod.
He gave me the material used to make them.. but I forget... some big ass long name. ![]() |

![]() Fred's bars bend in an "O" as well but the connection is a little different (the line goes straight thru the attachment as well). See attached pic of an Archer bar.
Fred was an innovator of a lot of products and you know what they say.... "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" They are great little bars that I have caught large tuna with and I'm sure the bars that Tom has are right up there with Fred's and since you can't get Archer bars anymore, might as well get them local. I really miss Fred too Vinnie ![]() |
