Default Raritan 5/9

Hit the junction around 10, 5th cast hooked up to a nice striper that broke the knob off my reel tried my best to finish the fight but couldnt keep line tension and it threw the hook . Nothing else for a while after that, switched over to swimbaits and saved the day with 2 largies

Talking Re: Raritan 5/9

Nice LM dude. That Striper was very angry when it hit your BIG BLACK BOMBER. Thrashing and head shaking like crazy. Really does suck about the reel. Hopefully Penn will make it up to you somehow!

I got a Striper there this morning around 10 am. Fish went 31-32 inches, about 10-12 lbs. Sorry there's no pic, thanx to the FLYGUY with the expensive FLYROD and shitty camera, mild RANT!!! I needed someone to take a pic of my fish and the FLYGUY was there with what looked to be a decent smartphone in his hand ready to take my pic, NOT!!! He proclaimed to take the pic and then we decided to trade emails later on so he could forward the pic to me for my report. Fishing slows down so I approach FLYGUY so we could take care of business real quick. He goes to open the pic, HAHAHAHAHAHA, the pic isn't there. DAMN!!! Oh well, I told him not too worry about it, I might catch another Striper in the Raritan one day!!! What I really wanted to do was take this FLYGUYS set up and throw him in the river. But after talking to him he seemed like a nice FLYGUY so I let him live, THIS TIME, HEHE!!! It's all good dude, hope you complete your mission of landing a Striper on the fly in the MIGHTY RARITAN!!!

P.S. I'm not trying to hijack CRUSTY's post. Sorry for the mild RANT!!!

TIGHT LINEZ!!!!!!!

Lightbulb Re: Raritan 5/9

There are some things that can be done immediately that would lower flood waters. One is to dredge a section of the Raritan River which would have a positive impact on lowering both rivers by about one foot during times of flooding per the Army Corps of Engineers.

Oh boy !
