Default Walleye hunting on Swartswood tomorrow AM, got a empty seat in the boat.

Since I really don't care for floating alone (as oppose to stream fishing, which should be a solitary venture), anyone interested in meeting me around 7:00am tomorrow morning on big Swartwoods to target walleye.

(I need someone to paddle after the batteries go dead)

It should be easy to find em on the jig. Keep that jig bouncing off the bottom. Great time of year to jig em up before the Herring take over. Don't fish too deep. 5-20 feet of water, half of those pretty EYES are still spawning. GOOD LUCK!!!
I'll suggest some kind of jig with imitation minnow, finesse minnow tipped with half a crawler. Either that or a simple worm harness, spinner rig!

yup work shallow to about 20fow, herring, worms, jig all produce up there. This month the herring spawn and it will be a strictly night bite for eyes til June, their bellies will be full all day

Not worth targeting there. They are extremely rare due to the fact of the distance, falls and dams between where they are stocked and the river. I've landed one Walleye there and it was a bycatch while targeting other species.
