Raritan Bay heating up 4/19

Got on the water at 6:45 surface temp was 46. marked fish in large numbers in several locations.We got some lines out and caught fish immediately,ended up with around 20 mostly keepers to 28 pounds.Releasted alot of big fat cows full of eggs. headed back to the dock around noon ,surface temp was 51. Didnt see too many boats on the water for a Saturday , not complaining just surprised.
