Thumbs up stuck need help on reel

I am gonna get a new reel but am stuck between 2 I want a do everything reel from fluke ,stripers to tog this is gonna be my main tog reel so I am down to the accurate boss 400 fury 4.1 and the canyon hs-15 6.1 gear ratio what do you guys think?

Of course I am going to say Canyon.... But I like a higher ratio on my reels. If your working jigs... the higher ratio can come in handy.

Both good choices. I would see which reel will balance best on rods you are going to use. Accurate will be the heavier of the reels.

Check out the Release Reel SG saw it at the rockland show. This thing is SICK and made in the USA

Hey did you see any of the new Release Surf series at the Suffern show? Supposed to have a lower ratio than the SG. Waiting for a lefty

Saw the new Release reel, spoke with the owner and they are super lite and 6:1 is a little much for deep drops but worth the look all made in Va, with various parts from other American states!

And if it does not feel right..... any builder can balance it for you. We do it often! Makes a big difference!

The owner and sales rep of Release will be at the Somerset Show next week. Maybe they'll have the surf reel then. I have the SG with the 44mag reel and like it a lot.

thanks for the advice guys went with a bogan tog rod and a accurate fury 4.1 retrieve that should handle the big togs
