Over the past 3 weeks, I've enjoyed some of the most amazing jig fishing that I've ever seen (and may ever see for decades to come). However, you're missing my favorite method to catch bass. IMHO, nothing beats watching a mama bass crush a topwater plug on light tackle.

Crap, damn me, i did miss that one, i want to change my answer, watching a blue or striper crush top water is the thrill, Bringing them in is almost a needed event to get to the next break water, Yup crab cakes i missed that one and agree 100%

As much as I luv live lining, and hate trolling (isn't a big part of fishing feeling the bite?) got to say you missed not having pitching top water plugs.

Me and a bud went to Block Island, RI this Spring and at dawn caught 26 stripers all on 9" white top water zara spooks on light spinning tackle. 2.5 hours of awesome!!!
