![]() This is the 3rd of 3 kayaks being raffled to benefit the New Jersey Chapter of Heroes on the Water. It is a Eddyline Carribean 14 with a Torquedo motor. Now the Carribean 14 is an awesome kayak without a motor and even better with one. It's pretty light (without the motor) and paddles like a dream.... not to mention that my fat arse can actually stand in it with relative ease.
Only a limited number of tix will be sold and the drawing will be at the Cape Kayak Fishing Jamboree on October 26th. The winner DOES NOT need to be present. Click here to get your ticket: http://www.thekayakfishingstore.com/p/Promo/raffle.html Here are some pics of me getting 'rammed' by a supposed 'friend' whilst I was testing out the primary and secondary stability of this awesome kayak.

![]() No, that's our NJ Coordinator Matt Williams. A little devilish is he!
Y'know, I've always wanted to give to a charity where I felt I could make a difference. This one presented itself and it was a very natural one for me being I enjoy kayak fishing. I hope everyone can find a charity that works for them. Imagine the difference we could make if every one of us were to give just one day a year to help someone in need. It would be amazing... idealistic perhaps, but it starts with one day from one person. So this is my 'one day'.

![]() ....and the winners of the 3 kayaks were.....
1) Native Slayer - Tom Dwyer 2) Eddyline Carribean with Torquedo Motor - Angie Adeylotte 3) Elie 12 - Our very own NJFishing.com member HowardA780 Allen ![]() The fishing was very tough. The winds were absolutely ferocious. I felt like I got the crap kicked out of me. Many folks stuck to the bridges fishing for toy tog. I posted some trash on facebook about defending my tog title from last year and Gary Ward shot back with his own trash about bringing it.... and he did... he took the tog calcutta this year with an 18.5" tog. The striper calcutta went to someone with a 32" striper. Not bad from a kayak, in a bay, in 20+ knots wind. The afterparty was very fun as we nursed our beaten bodies with various spirits. Thanks to all of you who participated and continue to support HOW-NJ. I have not been given the final numbers, but we had 98 registrants, up from 67 the previous year. I believe that we will have raised at least 5k for HOW-NJ when the final tally comes in, but that's just my guess. That would be a great achievement allowing us to procure additional kayaks, trailer, rods/reel and gear to be able to continue to provide this FREE service to our wounded vets. Many thanks to, NJFishing.com Sponsor, The Kayak Fishing Store who hosted and organized this whole event for us and to their CEO who personally footed the tab to feed everyone at the banquet.
