Default Dales Fluking today

Had the pleasure of Dales this morning.. Having fished the Elks with him I kept wondering if he actually could contribute.

HE DID with 3 nice keepers for the morning. He will post pictures this evening.

Beautiful day on the water, flat calm, little movement, nice fish. Ended the morning with 12 keepers and a few blues. Bluefish where chasing rain fish Water temp. 73.4, 40 to 48 ft, all on gulp.

Tough crowd on this site Granted the Elks showing for me was shorts ,Jmurr trash fish and rock piles, BUT yes Virginia even dales can catch a flatfish or 2 now and again.

Finally got to take Henry up on his weekly invites and glad I made the trip. Beautiful day on the water and Capt Henry hit the right numbers. For a half day trip we had good action and some quality bites which made the box. Ron had the hot hand early boxing his limit by 10.
A dozen keepers, numerous shorts and watching Gene take my place as the lesser of 4 evils was quietly peaceful.

After a few hours of watching Bluefish explode on rainfish and bunker we just HAD to throw some metal and added a few edible blues to the mix. Lot of fun on the lite stuff.

Great group to fish with always.

Thanks Henry QUALITY of fish was there , maybe the target is off my back even just for today.

Side note: Last drift of the morning I had 3 just shorts and 1 keeper but some of the "elders" nap time was coming so we left them biting

Nice job Dales!
People on this board don't appreciate that pullers like us have to hang back most of the time to avoid mass resentment...
