Default Fluke fishing this past Sunday 08/04

Went out this Sunday for fluke with my friend. Fish Stix was doing open boat, and my friend and I gave it a shot.

As a guy who has only fished party boats, wow what a nice change of pace. Captain Kris runs a nice boat and stayed out an extra hour or so. Both him and his mate made us feel at home. We moved around all day, and had a nice catch of flatties.

The fish were not biting aggressively, but I ended the day with 3 keepers, 1 of which I would guess was in the 4lb range. My buddy who is an even bigger noob than me, finished up with 2 fish.

I fished bucktails from Bucktail Boys, and had good luck with their nuclear chicken one with the matching teaser. I met JP a few weeks ago and he makes a really fine product, and had my order ready within a few hours. To me this was a no brainer compared to spros, and I got the opportunity to support a local business. I will be filling another order shortly because I must have lost about 7-10 bucktails on thus last trip

All in all, a great day on the water with my friend, and was glad to meet some new people as well.

Thanks!
