7/27 eyes+smallies

Hit my fav spot for a few early hours w my buddy Anthony (jackstraw) on sat. Ive been sick since thurs but I always feel better fishing lol. Anyway tuff conditions for what we wanted to do, bluebird skies and glass water most of the morn. Setup a 6 line spread trollin w planer boards pulling cranks and bottom bouncing. Had our first eyeball as we were setting line 2 in the water within 2 minutes of being on the water had me thinkin we were gonna kill it. Got rly quiet for a while, and we had ALOT of short strikes w fish nippin and missin both cranks and worm harnesses. Picked up a couple smallies here and there but didnt produce like I hoped. Fish were down deep, we were tickin the bottom most of the day and came up with a few.........pics to prove we got something in the boat haha....

Way to get em bro...Nice fish you ended up with regardless of low numbers.....beats a blank!....Isn't that a drag when you start off on the right foot and things go downhill from there.....Same happenned again(this is a pattern this year for me!!) past Friday morning...gonna give it a go tonight/tomorrow morning and hope for a better outing than we have been having....The rain last night will not help even though the water is in the upper 70's compared to mid-upper 80's the other day..maybe it'll get the fish a little more active and comfortable....I will say it made the fish even more skittish and deeper...........LMK if you want to link up later this weekearly in the am...I'm off all week w/ nowhere to go!!..pm me....

You guys put together a nice catch. Great job! Bluebird skies Saturday pushed the Bass deeper on Lil Swartswood. Nobody got anything good til the wind picked up around 10 AM. That's fishin!!!
