Default Bass Are still in Raritan Bay

Seems like the run this spring is like what we use to get a decade ago.May was real good than a lull for a week. Now we are catching the bass that are spawned out coming from the Hudson River. These bass are aggressive! The water is temp is 62 degrees and that is the magic number.Live bunker or heads drifting is the ticket. The best part is that it is a short run and the bunker are close also.Yesterday two throws with a Percy net and we were on our way.Perfect time to get the youngsters and the ladies out for a fun day.Calm water and plenty of action is a perfect way to introduce a novice angler to the sport of striped bass fishing.New Jersey has some of the best salt water fishing on the East coast!
