![]() Sailing 11PM Every Tuesday – Thursday – Friday & Saturday
& NEW DATE: Monday Martin Luther King Day (Sailing Sunday Night) 1-13 Offshore Report The water warmed up to 54 degrees and the Sea Bass fishing was hot too! Everyone on board easily caught their limit of Giant Sea Bass Sunday. Many also had limits of Jumbo porgies and some bluefish. The pool winners were: Vin Canfield from Andover NJ with a 6.5LB Sea Bass, Kevin Cole from Newton NJ with a 6LB Sea Bass. Kevin and Vinny each caught their limit of Giant Sea Bass, close to their limit of porgies and nearly a limit of bluefish. The big Jamaica is scheduled to sail offshore every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday leaving 11PM the night before. We have also added a trip for Monday 1/21 leaving 11PM the night before. For our complete schedule go to: www.bigjamaica.com We are now taking reservations. 732-528-5014 Capt. Howard Bogan 1-12 Report We continued our streak of limit catches of sea bass on the Saturday Offshore Trip! Many passengers also caught their limit of jumbo porgies and the pool was taken by a 21LB Cod. We anchored in the dark and caught some before daylight but a strong current toned down the night bite we have been experiencing. Once the sun rose (although we never saw it) we began to pick away at giant Sea Bass and jumbo Porgies. There were also a number of bluefish and a few ling caught and one lone Pollock. The pool winners were: Valdimir Psuturi from Piscataway NJ with a 21LB cod, Demsie Dawes from Jersey City, NJ with a 6.75LB Sea Bass. We read plenty of fish around the wreck and the water temperature is still around 53 degrees. We are off to a great start this year and with the current water temperatures the good fishing should continue. 1-11 Offshore Report Limits of Sea Bass – Lots of Porgies Fishing was very good on the Friday offshore wreck trip. Everyone onboard caught their limit of giant sea bass and either a number of jumbo porgies or their limit of porgies. Pool winners were: Bill Suittor from Phila PA with an 8LB Sea Bass, his limit of bass and a number of porgies, Howard Tribucher from Hewitt NJ with a 6.5LB Sea Bass, a limit of sea bass and a limit of jumbo porgies. It looks good for upcoming trips. There is a good migration of giant sea bass and still plenty more porgies on their way to the offshore wrecks. We are off to a great start this year and with the current water temperatures the good fishing should continue. The big Jamaica is scheduled to sail offshore every Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday leaving 11PM the night before. For our complete schedule go to: www.bigjamaica.com We are now taking reservations. 732-528-5014 Capt. Howard Bogan
