![]() caught smallmouths to the relaxing flow of the raritan today and largemouths to the obnoxious sound of acorns falling 50' into my hidden little largemouth farm pond tonight which apparently isn't as hidden as it used to be. on the pond is a little dock and tied to the boards were two 'trot' lines with NJFG bobbers on them. anybody know anything about these? do they give them out to kids at the expos or something?

![]() Are trot line and other unmanned fishing lined even legal in New Jersey?
They should probably be removed because they are guaranteed to gut hook any fish or turtle they catch if they aren't rigged with circle hooks. If it's private land, maybe you can kick them out?

![]() It's public but not well known and I pulled em, curious where they came from though as I've never seen them before and I'm pretty sure you're right about the legality of them.
