Default Trevala Rod + Stratic Combo = Limit Plus

I have had great success using the smaller Shimano Trevala rod bucktailing Fluke in the river. My river rod is way to light for Ocean fishing. I tested out the larger Trevala with a Stratic C14 4400 yesterday. Fishing in almost 70' of water and was holding fine with a 2oz bucktail. Obviously there was no drift and the reason I was using a spinning set up. All I can say is the rod worked great and was alot more fun the my standard conventional set up. I ended my day with at least 10 keepers up to 6lbs yesterday. If your looking for a light weight spinner, take a look at the Trevala's. Click the link below to see pics etc.

Fish the same set up with an older STRADIC 2500 (grey model) fished the rocks the snake the river, 80ft of water in the Vineyard with 5oz and caught a few 4-6# sea bass (offshore big dogs) ROD HELD UP NO PROBLEM..

The shorter length with the soft tip shouldnt fool ya this baby got back....

Lefty, Glad you like the rod. I try my best to outfit my fellow fishermen with the best gear that fits their needs and budget. I would never recommend or promote a product that i don't believe in.

I have the same rod and love it. I use it with a Cabo 40 for bucktailing and a 6500 Baitrunner for striper. Landed some 30 # stripers with it this year, no problem.
