Thumbs up Delaware River Flathead 7/25

Hit the big river with Wilson, Flatcreek and Tom last night. It was hot out on the rock, should've went swimming. Anyway we used bluegills, worms and cut EELS for bait. Wilson caught the eel on a night crawler and I proceeded to throw it out for bait. I had 3 rods out, 2 with live gills and 1 with a crawler. Around 8 pm the drag starts rippin, grab the rod tighten down the drag, BOOM, 1st and only flathead of the night. 4.5 lbs. George left around 10ish so it was me and the local boyz left. All of the sudden who shows up. Delaware river sharpie YOUTUBE sensation Ken Beam and I believe his daughter. Thanx to Ken for letting me borrow his scale. He's a funny guy, very HYPER!!! I had 1 more runoff right after Wilson left, BIG RUNOFF, BIGGER THAN THE FIRST but couldn't get the fish locked up. Thats fishing for ya!!! Anyway it was a great time fishing with Wilson, Flatcreek and Tom, and it was great to meet Ken Beam finally. Thank you fellas for coming out, your a great group of guys and hopefully we'll get a chance to fish together sometime soon. Im heading down sunday night if anybody is INTERESTED. TIGHT LINES FELLAS!!!

Looks like an awesome spot. Scenic, quiet, and fishy. Gotta try for flatheads one of these days!

I was just on that rock this past Saturday! I guess I was targeting the wrong species. When you were there, was there an asinine number of fish breaking the surface all over the place? If so, could you tell me what they were? I was thinking carp... It sure was aggravating!
