Insane Trout Musky Day2 Monster Brown!
After Sunday's battle with 60 plus trout and a beautiful 25in rainbow i was chomping at the bit all day at work to get back at it again. Left work late and had a few hours to kill to off i went the musky. I knew the rain would keep a lot of anglers away so my friend Dave and i took the 20 min hike up the conservation trail slipping and sliding in the mud but finally got there. I got to my spot and picked up right where i left off yesterday trout after trout. Many fish in the 14-17 in range with few 18+. The rainy day was going as planned and we were both wet but, giving Mr.Trout the business... After nailing the slob rainbow yesterday there was no way i would nail a fish like that again.... SO I THOUGHT!!! BAMM!!! I set the hook my reel screams and I'm off to the races down stream after this monster brownie! it was something from salmon river in Pulaski NY. The fish peeled an easy 50yards on the first run and proceeded to run seemingly for ever. Well finally i pull this beast to shore and i am in awe at this monster brownie! wow!!!! Dave took a spill in the river chasing me with the net my line was all curled up in knots from being stretched to the breaking point but, the fish hit the shore. Yesterday i threw the "beast" back. Today i kept him. i rarely keep trout but this one is a monster in any anglers book. i got home and measured him at 24inches and change @ 7lbs. Todays total for Dave and me in 2hrs of fishing 40trout 1 monster brown and one hell of a great story! pics will follow as soon as i figure it out
