Default Spruce Run Area

I will be down in the Flemington area on Tuesday afternoon with my family and I would like to take my 4 year old daughter fishing. If it were just me I would head to Ken Lockwood Gorge for some pre-season trout. However, I am looking for some perch or sunfish action for my daughter. I just to live in High Bridge and remember catching perch in Spruce Run Res. when I was younger. I haven't fished there for years. If the fishing still good? Or any other recommendations for a 4 year old down that way?

That would be a good place to fish, round valley is also good .....the pond at deer path park is loaded with sunnies. Good luck.

Also try the swimming lake at RVR. Use worms or meal worms for consistent action for pan fish.
There are also some nice Bass and Pickerel there too....good luck, and bring the camera
