With only a few weeks left in trout fishing in the streams. Was wondering if there are any lakes or reservoirs that rent boats for the day that arent to expensive.. Any info would be greatly appreciated...Dying to get out on the water one way or another this summer..

I always rent boats from Dow's on Hopatcong. Price is very fair and Laurie has everything that you could need. It's a big lake and can be daunting to fish, but PM me if you go and I'll give you a few places to start. I've heard differenting stories, but you may also be able to rent a boat on Spruce Run and Pender's Boat House rents canoes on the South Branch/Spruce Run Creek that has good access for LMB, carp and smallies. What part of NJ are you in?

Shepards use to rent them. Don't know if they still do.

You can rent boats at Spruce Run. Not sure what they cost but you should be able to get more information by calling 908-638-8234.
