![]() Hit the New Brunswick area today around 10 AM or so, high slack tide, fished clams and night crawlers, nothing then around 12:30 tide was starting to move out pretty good, got one striper, on clams 26", nice clean silver. Fished till 3 not another bite. Water, a little stained not really bad today, but quite a few weeds and stuff floating out with the tide.
Nice to be out on a spring day. |

![]() where do you get clams from? I live close NB and i want to get out and try for some stripers this year, but i dont know where i can get the right bait. How well do lure work. i heard Zara spooks and or Bomber's work well. Any tips for this Striper Newb would be greatly appreciated!!

![]() The clams I had that day were from Belford, but, You can buy them just N of Highland park, on Rt 27, there is a small shopping center with an Asian Grocery store, justy before Plainfield ave, south bound side, actually keeps the clams in running water, 4 for $2.00 same size as the ones I got in Belford.
I was there again two days ago, guy told me he caught a striper there the day before on a bomber, I would guess now the water is heating up, normal striper lures would be fine. |
