Thumbs up Peapack brook 4/20:

Went by AT&T at 4pm, it looked like opening day. Went into Peapack and looked at the North Branch, already 4 anglers waiting for the 5pm start, went for kawfee came back around by the ball field, now there was about 15 cars there. Went to Peapack brook and started at the small falls by the pond, worked my way down stream at a good pace, only managed 2 brook trout, one real nice one under the bridge. Fished all the way down to the where the tracks cross the stream. Ran into another angler who was fishing worms and he wasn't doing to well either. I just really wanted to do some walking in clear water and I wasn't up for Spruce Run Creek. Walked the train tracks back. (kids, don't try this at home)
Fishing log Peapack Brook: 7/3/2009: 2 rainbow, 1 brookie
7/4/2009: 5 rainbows
Came back past the ball field at 7:30pm, about 20 cars there, went past AT&T, YOU COULDN'T PARK
Fishing log book shows better results on Spruce Run Creek, but I tend to hit these cold clear streams in June and July.

That's crazy to hear about the crowds.

Guess after the weather being what it was this past weekend everyone has the itch. Fingers crossed I'll get up early tomorrow to sneak some fishing in before work and beat the crowds in the process. Hopefully they left some fish in there.
