Blackfish rod and reel

I was think of getting a new rod reel combo for the purpose of blackfishing and bottom fishing (cod and offshore seabass)..just wondering if anyone has some suggestions as to what they like best..I was thinking fishpoison but not sure what model as listed on the web..also what would be a nice reel matchup without breaking the bank.

Thanks that helped alot..at leat now I know what reels to look at and will be stopping by to checkout some fishpoison rods.
