Default Fishing in a Tropical Rainstorm

Hit a North Jersey beach for some wild weather surf fishing earlier today. Hard south wind at a steady 20-30 mph, big rollers breaking and sand blasting that felt like hundreds of mosquitos biting my skin. Had a break in the rain so had to give it a shot and managed probably the two smallest fluke I've ever pulled in, 8 & 9 inchers.
Oh well... beats the proverbial day at work I guess.

Picking up what you're laying down. You wait for the right conditions and they never seem to come. Sooner or later you start getting angry, picking fights with the wife and kicking the dog and you know it's time no matter what. Even if that means fishing for snappers in the marina or getting sand blasted on the beach. It's totally worth it and you feel much better after your salt fix.
