![]() FISHERMEN/MONDAYS FLUKE FISHING
Tough day today with not a good morning bite... Headed out with another good group of customers, most were set up the proper way today but the first couple drifts produced only a few fish. Hung in there as long as we could but it's tough when the bite isn't happening. Left the area, fished a bunch of spots with an occasional keeper here and there. The short bite got better after the change of tide but not enough to say it was a good day. Pool fish went 4.7 lbs and we had another at 4.3 lbs. Back at it tomorrow to give it hell! NOT AVAILABLE THIS COMING THURSDAY...... Sailing every day (not Thursday) 7:30am-2:30pm. Open Boat, No Reservations just come on down. Fare is $90, Rod Rentals $10. Capt. Ron |

![]() Commercial fishing has to be suspended for fluke these fish are not here along the beaches for recreational fisherman. No fluke coming in because of over fishing aka netting. Every year is getting worse soon party boats will be gone. Fluke regs must change for the draggers

![]() Two changes needed with netters. Close the season between 9/15 and 11/15 to protect the spawn and let theses massive highly concentrated bodies of fish finish their offshore migration to their wintering grounds without getting annihilated. Second, mandate keep what you catch regulations, every fish that hits the deck has to be retained. Let the federal on board observers insure compliance. Stock assessment assumes 90% of fluke caught in nets not harvested get thrown back dead and commercial dead discard levels are completely out of control. Commercials kill and discard more in a season than the entire recreational quota itself. Unrelenting south winds right now are causing a big problem with cold water as has been duly noted but the above two issues are killing the fishery.
