Default Ling Lunch

Grandson Chris and I went down to the Gambler for some night Linging. There were only around 18 fares aboard. Capt. Mike headed East into bumpy seas. We set up, sounded the horn, and had fish on right away. The Ling and Seabass had Sand Eels in their mouths. Some were still alive! We caught on every wiggle. Conditions improved as the night progressed. The Squid showed up in numbers late but guess who remembered the jig but forgot the rod. I tried jigging for Bluefish with no love. Chris used Clam bellies for 7 Ling, some short Seabass, and some Conger Eels/Ocean Pout. Fishing was better than it has been. Saturday night looks good. Hope we have enough to go.

When the Co-op ran it's own restaurant and you ordered a fried fish sandwich, it was always ling. It was the best, i always waited until I got to town and would eat there. Anybody know what happened to Alex, the manager ??

Hey Pete. Kat makes great COD cakes (I suck). I invented COD LOAF !!! lol
After failing at Kat's COD CAKE, I just now make it like meatloaf, minus the meat. Taste good warm or cold, and I'm sure You and Capt Mike remember what I could do with a BLUEFISH SALAD !!!!

Chaz, I too love the Broadway Bisque. Your Bluefish Salad, Capt. Mike's Striper Chowder, and his Bonita Salad are great. You always brought the good stuff on Tuna trips. Those pickled cheese stuffed round peppers that you brought were memorable. I never had to bring much to eat on Tuna trips because you guys fed he so good.
