Cold Weather Carp

Snuck in a quick trip with my son last week. Surprising he did so well in 40 degree weather. Put out a three rods and literally couldn't keep all three rods out. I think he ended up with five fish in less than 90 minutes with a double at once then headed home. Smaller class of fish than we would like but a great time none the less.

I rarely carp fish and was thinking of taking a chance in this weather, knowing where they may be stacking up in some river spots. Good work out in the cold

Honestly, I am an offshore guy. I know carp get a bad rep but we love them, they are predatory so I get it but they really fight so my son loves them. We target bass, catfish and pike but this is his thing now.

Apparently they do, just need to find them. I pre-baited a bit the day before.
