![]() Got my hands on my first vessel, simple canoe, bought used off FB Marketplace so no receipt nor any idea how to get it registered for a trolling motor.
First real trip is out for Muskie and skunked but had a great strike/near jump from one right on the side of the canoe. First fish is officially a SMB from monksville. I couldnt find much outside of some bluegill and young 5 inch largemouth. That place got mobbed with paddlers! Took it out down south for snakes, I started with a buzzbait, 4 nice hits from snakes but none hooked up, good ones too. Maybe hitting the blade only. Switch to a EWG swimbait and that finally stuck for my first. Was able to watch chris mop up and hog all the fish otherwise. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

![]() Nice fish. To register you have to get a hull number and go to DMV. Its usually on most boats. If not you go to a State Trooper barracks and get it inspected and they will issue a number. That's how I did it back in the day not sure about now though? Maybe you can do it online.
