Wed 06/09 seabass mixed bag report
Got out Wed for seabass / mixed bag fishing and Glad we did. Great crew as always. Flat calm seas with a little fog early but cleared up by 7. Inshore spot with (i know I will hear about it but true) no one near us. Drifted all day. Couple guys tried jigging early but quickly went to clams as that was working best.
Pictures tell the story but boat limit of seabass, some nice ling, a beauty cod couple of porgies, some tog that went back and even a squid. After the seabass limit for 11 guys we tried the Fluke. 1 keeper quick , a few shorts but still a bit too early. As stated most seabass and mixed bag species on clam bait with a High /Low rig. Fluke liked a white gulp no bait. Great times with Great fishermen. NSB capt and mate fantastic as always. Life is short! Go get some and enjoy this great fishery. Support the charter and PB industry!
