![]() After only catching 2 white perch on a jig and twister tail, I switched to Walmart red worm halves on two hooks and a 1/16 oz leadhead jig with 4 lb test line to catch channel catfish, white catfish, brown bullheads, white perch, yellow perch, black crappies, white crappies and pumpkinseed sunfish. Ultralight jigging is lots of fun. I still have some worms left also. I probably won’t return to using just lures in freshwater until spring time.

![]() Only caught 56 carp this year. Used corn instead of corn meal most trips. I stopped carping last month. A few years ago I caught 52 carp on corn meal at night in the Millstone River in November. I rarely caught carp in cold water.
