![]() I use a little Cannon downrigger on my rowboat. It is the mini one that clamps to the side of your boat. When I use wire down rigger line on it, the line can make a humming noise. I use the down rigger in fresh water. Do you think this humming noise scares the fish?
I also bought the braided down rigger line, it does not hum. But the braided line is not very abrasion resistant. If I hang the down rigger ball up in the weeds by mistake the braided line gets all frayed. I once lost a down rigger ball because of this. Any ideas? What type of line should I use on the down rigger. Wire or braid? |
