![]() yesterday aboard the Montauk Star fluke fishing a blue marlin was hooked up and fought for a good 5 minutes on a fluke rod i wouldn't believe it if i didn't see it for myself fish was around 6 to 7 feet long and after a few acrobatics in the water finally broke off definitely an amazing sight to see and didn't think these fish traveled this far north always thought they were a Florida fish

![]() Prob a white marlin. Guys have caught them, seen them and/or hooked them 5 to 10 miles out. Not saying it wasnt a blue, but more than likely a white.
Summer time eddies off the gulf stream break off. Those pelagic fish are in those pieces of water feeding. Sometimes they get pretty close to shore...
