![]() Was able to get out of work today for an AARP Fluke Trip on Henry's Parker the Honeybee. Myself, Les , Larry and Henry were the crew. Beautiful day on the water with light N winds albeit a bit HOT out on the drift.
Henry got us on some great bottom in 50+ ft up north. Bite was a little sluggish as they wouldn't commit right away. After a few shorts Les stripped up some Robins which I immediately put on and the right ones started to come ( for ME that is) ![]() 3OZ bucktail with pink shine and robin strip with a spearing on the bottom hook, Nuke chicken on the top hook with a spearing got me a limit of fluke by 10AM. Added another keeper an hour later ORL. Henry put our 5th in the boat as well Larry started off hot with some nice seabass. No one told him we were Fluking! Not really sure what Les was doing all day ![]() Bounced around a few more spots on the way home without much doing. By 12 our Doctor Scholls got wet, the morphine wore off and nap time was lurking so we called a day LOL. Not bad for a few hours with great people. Every time I get out there I think this is what life is meant to be and grateful to be able to do it often with friends. Life is short GO FISHING Thanks Henry.

![]() Nice report young man. Your youthful exuberance (and sea robin strips) were the recipe for today's success.
To borrow a reporting technique from Life's a Beach --- line-of-the-day: : Old Lives Matter !

![]() I knew it was going to be one of those days as the busting started as we left
the dock. Beautiful ocean and made the run north of the inlet. Water temps in the lower 70's, flat ocean. Got set up on numbers and had a good drift, these numbers produced a 30 inch 10lb. plus fish for a friend last week Lots of short hits and dropped fish. Even thou we only had 5 keepers, the shorts where all quality 16 1/2 to 17.99. Few sea bass in the mix, I would have thought we should have seen more. Once the drift crapped out tried shallower nada, moved south picked and plucked but no more in the box. We brought Les for moral support, as he dropped fish as well as the rest of us. Larry you all know was busy tying rigs, as he seemed to find every rock. Great day with good friends, enjoyable for all, looking forward to many more. PS Steve we didn't miss you! LOL |
